Endorsed by the no less than the Kilusang Bagong Lipunan (KBL), the political party founded by the late dictator, Bongbong Marcos’ scheme to run for the highest executive position is one of the main plans of the Marcoses and this Marcosian regime to rehabilitate their political stature and promote historical lies. It is evident that he and his evil family are trying to evade accountability from what they truly perpetrated during Martial Law – the thousands of cases of human rights abuses to the cases of graft and corruption and profligate lifestyles which drowned the country in foreign debt. This is also certainly a part of the grand plan of their biggest supporter, Rodrigo Duterte, to escape from criminal liability that he is about to face once he steps out of office next year.
As former victims of the Marcos’ bloody regime, we refuse to let the Marcoses and this bloody regime get away with their atrocities against the nation. We detest Bongbong Marcos’ shameless plan to run for president and Duterte’s continuous coddling of the late dictator’s family.
We call on everyone, especially the youth, to reject historical revisionism and uphold the truth. We will make sure that no more tyrant – Marcos, Duterte or any wannabe – will rule the nation.
