We salute the FPR for its 13 years of endeavor to lay down the foundation for a strong and large national organization closely linked with the workers and masses of Mexico and deeply embroiled in their struggle.

We, the Filipino people, share with Mexico the same history of conquest and revolution.

Karapatan Alliance for the Advancement of People’s Rights – Philippines fervently greets and congratulates the Frente Popular Revolucionario (FPR) on its fourth Congress on May 1 – 3, 2014.

We salute the FPR for its 13 years of endeavor to lay down the foundation for a strong and large national organization closely linked with the workers and masses of Mexico and deeply embroiled in their struggle.

We, the Filipino people, share with Mexico the same history of conquest and revolution.

Both our countries had been colony of Spain and fought wars against American intrusion into our lands. Our peoples waged heroic revolutions against the colonizers.

In this era of imperialism, when the United States and its horde of imperialist states, the offensives are far fiercer, especially now that it is in dire crisis. Through neoliberal policies and insatiable greed for super profits, the burden is passed on to the masses of our peoples who suffer the grim consequences – unemployment, stifle of union rights, low wages, high prices, high taxes, plunder of our lands and resources. Worst is the devastating aftermath of its fascism and wars.

Today, with imperialism desperately holding on to its fading power and glory at the expense of greater exploitation and oppression of the world’s proletariats and masses of peoples, let us fortify our ranks and unite towards a revolutionary solution, where in the rights, welfare, genuine freedom and national democracy of the poor peoples of the Philippines and Mexico will be realized.

May your Congress be fruitful and successful. May this strengthen our solidarity and unity to carry on our historic mission of building a world free from exploitation and oppression.
