"Enforced disappearances have destroyed our families, the very foundation of a society and church. Children are left motherless or fatherless," Lorena Santos, secretary general of Families of Desaparecidos for Justice said upon hearing Pope Francis’ speech at Malacañang and in his meeting with representatives of Filipino families. 

"The last ray of hope for justice has just been doused. Palparan is essentially freed, and Malacanang welcomes it," said Lorena Santos, secretary general of Families of Desaparecidos for Justice as the Malolos Regional Trial Court resolved to transfer Ret. Maj. Gen. Jovito Palparan to Philippine Army Custodial Center.  

"The BS Aquino is treating The Butcher Gen. Palparan like a diva," Aya Santos, secretary general of Families of Desaparecidos for Justice said on the overkill security measure provided to Palparan during today’s pre-trial hearing.
