Former Karapatan SOCSKSARGEN chapter deputy secretary general Ali Macalintal, also a former radio broadcaster of RPN XDX, was reportedly shot dead today, June 23, 2025. According to reports by local media, Macalintal was shot several times inside an acupuncture clinic in General Santos City.
Macalintal, also a member of the LGBTQIA community, coorganized and participated in several fact finding missions in Mindanao, including those when martial law was declared in the island.
Karapatan calls for the swift investigation of the killing of Macalintal and to bring to justice the perpetrators of this gruesome killing.
